KeepSolid Goals for Education:
Best Goal-Oriented Education Planning and Management Software

Planning, organizing, and managing the educational process in school (or online education) is a complex and multifaceted task. It requires certain skills, knowle, and the application of the best school management software. Let’s take a look at KeepSolid Goals and see what it can offer as a tool for educational planning.

Key Benefits of KeepSolid Goals for Education and Schools

Educational planning and management comes with its own challenges, especially nowadays, in the age of online education. Best school management software should offer a unique set of features and capabilities. Let’s list them and see what KeepSolid Goals has to offer in regards to those.

Objective-oriented education

The core design of  KeepSolid Goals is built around the Agile management approach called Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), which can be put to use for education management as well. According to OKRs, you should set a global Objective as the main focus of your students’ activities, and then add Key Results - sub-goals that must be completed in order to achieve the Objective. This helps you and your students stay focused on what really matters.

Planning and scheduling

When managing an education project, it is critical to have your students’ tasks and assignments outlined and clearly visible. It helps avoid misunderstandings and shows everyone what needs to be done. In KeepSolid Goals, planning and scheduling is performed by setting deadlines, managing tasks and assignments with Sprints and Kanban boards, and viewing your scheduled activities on Gantt-like charts and reports.

Collaboration

As an education leader, you will sometimes have tens to hundreds of students to manage, each working in smaller groups and having their unique strengths, weaknesses, and needs. Assessing and directing everyone’s work, as well as organizing efficient communication through multiple channels, especially with online education, is among the key tasks in education and school management.

Versatility

Considering the amount of assignment management and documentation that education leaders and teachers have on their hands, the best school management software should be able to streamline and organize all that. KeepSolid Goals is exactly such a tool - all your data is quickly accessible in one place, is convenient to store and manage, and can even provide you with certain insights on where to move next.

Agile assignment management

Flexibility in how you’re setting and monitoring assignments is pretty important in education planning. Some of the great ways to do this is by using popular Agile task management tools like Sprints and Kanban boards. They allow leaders to create assignments as part of specific projects, appoint them to groups or individuals, set deadlines, and then track your students’ progress.

Reports

To successfully plan and manage educational projects, you need to be aware of the current state of affairs and shortcomings or problems that require a quick solution. Best school management software, such as KeepSolid Goals, provides just the right tool for this - a wide range of automated reports that you will find in the corresponding tab.

Convenience and price

The best education management software should allow you to do your job in the most efficient (and cost-efficient) way possible. That’s why we designed everything about KeepSolid Goals to be as little of a hassle as possible. It’s a web-based app, meaning it can be used on pretty much any internet-capable device, and it also offers flexible pricing options for groups of any sizes.

Account Management

Very few education management tools offer much in terms of accounting functionality. Tracking institution’s day to day income and expenses, keeping all records of fee received and the defaulters… In KeepSolid Goals, you can do that and much more using the budget and comment sections of each and any Objective and Key Result.

How to Use KeepSolid Goals for Education Management
etapa 1
Establish an Objective

An Objective is the major goal that you want your class, group, or school  to achieve, the destination at which all your activities will be directed. Whatever you choose, your Objective should be global, overarching, and not too specific - a general direction, rather than a detailed roadmap. So, an educational objective of a student could be to get into ACME university.

etapa 2
Define Key Results

Key Results are smaller, more specific goals that, once achieved, will bring your Objective closer to reality. The most important thing about Key Results is that whenever you set them, they must be directly related to the Objective you’ve set at step 1. For the Objective we’ve used as an example earlier, Key Results would be to have 3.7 GPA by senior year in high school, complete the application, and get 3 teacher recommendations.

etapa 3
Set Tasks / Assignments

With your Objective and Key Results figured out, decide on your Tasks, or assignments. A Task is an activity required to reach a Key Result. So, like Key Results are always associated with an Objective, every Task needs to be related to a specific Key Result. So, for a Key Result “complete the application”, Tasks would be to find out the application requirements, prepare the document package, etc.

etapa 4
Implement Your Plan

At this point, you’ve determined your Objective, Key Results, and Tasks. Now it’s time to set your education plan in motion. This is where you’ll find even more use in a tool for educational planning like KeepSolid Goals. It offers a bunch of features to manage all aspects of your education plan, for instance:

  • Mind map and timeline to present your whole action plan in a visually clear and informative way to you, teachers, students, and any other stakeholders
  • Sprints and Kanban boards for Agile assignment management
  • Reports to monitor your organization’s performance and progress towards your Objective
etapa 5
Learn from Experience

Once the Objective is achieved, it’s time to take a look at how it all went and what can be learned from it. Ask yourself the following questions - you will find that the answers can help you the next time you’re conducting educational planning.

  • Have you and your groups reached the Objective?
  • Have you distributed your resources and workload correctly?
  • What difficulties did you encounter with the Objective, Key Results, Tasks?
  • How effective was your group at reaching the Objective and Key Results, and completing Tasks (assignments)?
